We have Tokyo Skytree and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office Tower, which offer a commanding view of Tokyo. Tokyo Skytree, established in 2012, is 634 meters high, much higher than the Tokyo Tower, a 333-meter and 66-year-old tower with two tones of color: international orange and white. But I still prefer the Tokyo Tower. Maybe it’s because of my nostalgic memories with my dad, who was proud of the Tokyo Tower and took me to the top deck when I was 5 years old. Maybe I felt power and energy from the simple steel structure without any brilliant decollations. It has attracted me so much for many years.
It was a clear and fine day, and I finished my work near the Tokyo Tower in the late afternoon. I immediately booked the Top Tour ticket, which allowed me to go up to the top floor on my smartphone, and walked swiftly to the 1st floor of the tower on the side road along Zojo-ji temple because I wanted to see the sunset and Mt. Fuji.
I can get a 360-degree view of central Tokyo on the top floor. Compared with the views from Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office Tower, the scene of Tokyo Bayside, such as the Rainbow Bridge, is much more appealing to me than the others.
In the distance, Mt. Fuji loomed in the evening light, and soon, an unmistakable silhouette appeared in the sunset light. I regretted that I should bring a better camera, but I had no choice but to take photos with the camera on my iPhone SE since I suddenly decided to visit Tokyo Tower.
In the evening, the Tokyo Tower became more fantastic in its lit-up illuminations. The reflection on the next building window is one of my favorite views. Also, in the small park at the foot of the tower, autumn leaves were shining in the light arrangement. It was a great day with an amazing closing.
