Rikugien Gardens’ “Special Nighttime Viewing in Spring” is worth visiting because a lit-up Shidare-Sakura, a weeping cherry blossom, was so gorgeous that I almost forgot to breathe. The garden is open only during the cherry blossom season from 18:30 to 21:00. Unfortunately, the event was already closed. I hope you remember this post and come to Japan in the second half of March the following year.
I recommend you book the ticket in advance. Otherwise, you will have to spend about one hour queuing in the waiting line at the gate. However, it would be difficult for visitors who cannot read Japanese on the booking site. In this case, please contact me by clicking the “Contact me!” link at the end of this post. I am willing to guide you in the Rikugien Gardens, including a reservation for the tour. I hope to see you next March!
