Unagi is not ugly; it’s tasty!!

Unagi no Kabayaki (eel broiled with teriyaki-like sauce) is one of the popular and beloved Japanese cuisines. I know it could be challenging for foreign tourists to accept the meal of grotesque eels that might be swimming like a snake in a pond in your hometown. But I guarantee you it is worth trying Unagi no Kabayaki.

If you still are suspicious, please look at the video, which shows you how an Australian couple accepted it and really enjoyed it. It’s fun to watch. The title and subtitles are written in Japanese but don’t worry about the language. All talks in the video are spoken in English.

How was the video? I believe you understand that the Aussie couple became a big fan of Unagi no Kabayaki. And then now, I am sure you are so eager to eat it.

There are many Unagi no Kabayaki restaurants in the Tokyo area, so you can easily find them. Pleases find this sign in front of the restaurant: a symbolic character of “う” looks like an eel.
