Autumn Leaves in Hokkaido

Autumn has arrived in the northern part of Japan, Hokkaido. My friend living in Kitami City shared photos of beautiful and colorful autumn leaves on his Facebook. My town, Yokohama, just south of Tokyo, has not shown any signs of color of fall yet, but his post from Hokkaido heralds us that leaves in parks in Tokyo will soon start turning colors in a month. (All photos posted here are taken by Mr. Seiichi Imano)

There are many places and streets where you can enjoy colorful autumn leaves. If you come to Tokyo in November, I can take you to a traditional Japanese garden where you can view the fantastic scenery.

Gorgeous photos! I’ve never visited Japan at peak fall foliage, and your post makes me want to even more.

Hi, Sara. Thank you for your comment. Now, the peak fall foliage has been approaching the Tokyo area. There are some famous Japanese gardens for autumn leaves in Tokyo. I recommend you visit Hamarikyu Garden, where you can enjoy Macha at the rest house viewing autumn leaves.
